Busy Busy Busy

Our July is jam packed. Last week we met up with my great Aunt Mary and cousin Betsy. We enjoyed a beautiful day at a state park in Rutland. Edith and Addie had a blast playing in the sand and swimming.

Over the weekend we went camping with my family in NH and took the kids to Storyland. It was so much fun. I was very impressed with how the park made everything enjoyable for the entire family. The big hit was Loopy Labs in which everyone could shoot foam balls, vacuum them up, and shoot them some more. Addie enjoyed exploring all the nursery rhymes and playing in the tree house. Both girls loved the ball pit. I enjoyed the roller coaster and the circus. Poor Addie did not really care for the circus. She hid her eyes during the clown show because she didn't like watching him falling repeatedly. I think part of the problem was he didn't have any make-up on so she didn't identify him as a clown. She also hid her eyes during the daredevil show. It just shows what a sweet little girl she is. Here are a lot of pictures because I can't just pick a few.

A New Blog

We have been busy doing lots of art projects lately. I decided to create a separate blog for all of the girls creations. Check it out.

In other news we have been busy house hunting. Fun, exciting, tiring, and stressful all at once.

Independence Day

After nap time we headed up to Pepperell to partake in the July 4th festivities with Amelia and Eric. We enjoyed a nice relaxing time at the playground and chatting while we waited. Brian and I had repeatedly warned Addie that both girls had to stay cheerful and well behaved if we were to see fireworks. Both girls did amazing and we enjoyed some fireworks. Edith was a little stunned with the loud booms. Brian taught her to say "boom" and "oooh" which helped. Addie of course thought Amelia was her special play partner and had a grand time playing with her and sharing cotton candy with her. Overall a nice day and great to see friends.

Old Friends

This Friday I was very excited to see some of my college friends, April and Shannon, and their two girls. I don't think I have seen them since, well, college. We met up at the Boston Museum of Science, however it was a nuthouse there as it was free admission day. We decided to just take the kids outside where there was some air. Then the adults could talk and the kids had fun playing on the various hunks of rock from around the world. We had a nice time and hopefully we will see them again in less than the 9 years it took us to get together this time.
